ABOUT

Hi, I’m Korina Vaičikonė, an illustrator & visual artist based in Vilnius, Lithuania. I make illustrations, paintings, and prints about people, feelings, everyday life, and all the weird and wonderful things that come with being human. Sometimes they’re emotional. Sometimes they’re silly. Usually they’re both.

A big part of my practice is about letting my inner child have a say. I’m naturally a bit of a control freak, so there’s a constant push and pull in my work between structure and play, precision and mess. Within clearly set boundaries, I give myself room to make imperfect marks, follow a feeling, and see where things go instead of always trying to get them “right”.

This tension shows up in the way I work too. Digital tools give me the control and structure that I naturally gravitate towards, while expressive linework, scribbles, and loose, gestural shading let things get a little out of hand.

My illustration work is mostly editorial, podcast, and product-related, while my personal practice gives me room to experiment with painting, printmaking & whatever else I feel like making.

Formerly known as Tiny Mischiefs, I’m still pretty much living up to the name. When I’m not drawing, I’m probably renovating(-ish) my house, crafting, overthinking something, or hanging out with my husband and our always-hungry black cat.
