From tinymischiefs to Korina Vaičikonė: A name change as an illustrator
960 pencil strokes, 71 minutes of work, one big change.
If you’ve followed my illustration work for a while, you might recognize the name tinymischiefs. It was playful, slightly chaotic, and it gave me space to explore my creativity during a time when I wasn’t fully ready to step forward under my own name. But my creative identity evolved.
After going back and forth for nearly two years, I’ve realized I’ve outgrown tinymischiefs. From now on, I’ll be creating all of my work under my own name: Korina Vaičikonė. Same illustrator, same personality, just the correct name tag :)
tinymischiefs came from a period of experimentation — a time when illustration felt like a safe place to try things out without too much pressure. It gave me freedom to be goofy, curious and still stay in my comfort zone. Over time, though, I found my voice as an illustrator.
As my work became more intentional — especially in editorial illustration, podcast illustration, and product/packaging illustration — I no longer feel the need for a separate creative alias. Signing my work with my own name started to feel natural, honest, and long overdue. This name change isn’t about becoming more serious or less playful. It’s about standing fully behind my work.
What This Means for Clients and Collaborators?
If you’ve worked with me or followed my illustrations under the name tinymischiefs, here’s the simple version:
My illustration style and approach haven’t changed
I’m still working on editorial, podcast, and packaging illustration projects, just more focused than ever
I’m still available for client work and collaborations
Only the name has changed
All new and ongoing work now lives under Korina Vaičikonė, making it easier for clients, editors, and collaborators to connect my illustrations directly to me.
Moving Forward
This change feels like alignment rather than reinvention. I’m still the same goofy illustrator, still curious, still drawn to storytelling, emotion, and subtle humor — just working under my own name now. Thank you for following along, supporting my work, and growing with me.
Always human, always goofy,
Korina Vaičikonė
